A very enjoyable evening spent at the Club. Unfortunately we couldn’t participate in the 144mhz UKAC due to a Parish Council Meeting in the adjacent room and the potential for QRM was high. Fingers crossed for next month.
Undeterred by this change of plan we quickly set up an HF Station and actually used 3 radios this time. Initially starting with Jacek’s Discovery 599 transceiver and matching amplifier before moving to the very nice IC-756 of Merfyn M0HWA and finally sealing off the evening with the Club’s very own IC-7300.
40m was particularly lively and many contacts were made there. We’ve included some photos of our antenna install as well as the HF operations.
Till next time, 73 from the Website Team.
